89th Japan PGA Championship 2022 will be held on August 3 (Wednesday) to 7 (Sunday) at Greenfields Country Club. Started in 1926, the Japan PGA Championship is the oldest major tournament in Japan. Competitive method
72-hole stroke play (4 days of 18 holes each day).
After completing the first half of 36 holes, the top 60 ranked players advance to the second half of 36 holes.
After 72 holes, if there is a tie for first place, a hole-by-hole playoff will be held at the hole designated by the competition committee to determine the winner. If the competition is not established by August 7 (Sun), a spare day on Monday may be used.
